James Francis Flynn was born and raised in Oxford, Ohio. He has lived or studied in Livry Gargan, France; Olympia, Washington; Kathmandu, Nepal; Florence, Italy; and Chicago, Illinois.

He is a graduate of the Western College Program at Miami University and the Werner Herzog Rogue Film School.

His feature film work includes Bet On A Bad Horse, Accidents Waiting To Happen, and Eastern College, as well as the short film Step 9. For more information, visit his IMDB page.

His writing has been featured in The Benevolent Spectator, The New Cartographer, Dirt Rag Magazine, and Cinespect. He has taught at Miami University, Facets Film School, and 826CHI.

James currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California, with his wife and son.
